Cooling Tower Upgrade Building 857

IMC contracted with the US Army Corp of Engineers to provide increased cooling tower capacity, by the addition of a new cooling tower. The new system includes a new 900-ton cooling tower, CT-3, directly connected to a 900-ton chiller, CH-1. The designated chiller also has the ability to use the existing buildings condenser water system and towers as a backup. IMC provided and installed all the chiller and condenser piping systems, heat tracing for HVAC piping, cooling tower, chemical water treatment system and VFD’s. IMC was also awarded the follow-on project now under construction at the same facility.
